Vice President: Marie Neefs
MUN’ became a known concept to Marie while she was in high school and heard fascinating stories about her best friend’s brother who participated in this mysterious activity. When KULMUN was introduced to her in her first year at university, she did not hesitate and joined the organization. Now, three years later, she believes it is time to give something back to the association that has taught her so many useful things.
Marie has a strong interest in different aspects of human science. She finds it very interesting to combine her study of Communication Science with the political debates of KULMUN, theatre plays and writing courses. In her spare time she is a leader at the scouts and works in Leuven’s coffee bar Noir. Loving to travel and to explore new cultures (cliché, but true), she has lived in sunshine Italy for a year and went on an Erasmus to France. After backpacking for a couple of weeks in Australia on her own, her mom begged her to stay home for a while. So this year she is fully ours to enjoy Belgium and focus on KULMUN.
Taking on the role of vice-president, she wants to keep up the high quality that the association is known for and keep it growing. She would like to focus on the UN values throughout activities in order to raise the active citizenship of the members to a higher level. She is always up for a nice talk about life, a remark or a new idea. Just do not mention you are from the Chiro or you like latte macchiato !
