Chairwoman: Gayad Omar
Gayad is a true citizen of the world, born in Jordan and always traveling all over the globe. She has completed her Master’s degree in Business Administration at the KU Leuven and as from September she is working as Cyber Security consultant. She is helping organisations to protect their information assets by identifying the main security risks.
Her broad-mindedness can be explained by her many sided field of interests. Ever since she was a child, she has had a strong interest in international affairs and diplomacy. She decided to join KULMUN after her internship at the Belgian embassy to the USA in Washington D.C. After being a member she joined the executive board as vice president. She enjoyed every single moment of being part of KULMUN from the trainings to the socials and of course the incredible annual KULMUN conference.
Even though, her student life came to an end, she was still eager to stay with the association taking a more strategic role. As chairwoman of the governing board, Gayad wants to ensure the continuity of the association and the adherence to the KULMUN core values. By doing so and together with her fellow governing board members, she wants to make certain that everyone is obtaining the ultimate KULMUN experience.
Beside a discussion about current contemporary topics, Gayad enjoys long distance runs (preferably on Latin music).
