Vice President: Maria Radikov
Maria is an Economics graduate of the Belgian-Bulgarian gene mix. Born in Leuven, the tide of international labour mobility carried her and her family to Warsaw, Poland where she attended the American School of Warsaw for ten years. Growing up in that international community fostered a deep interest and continuing curiosity towards today’s globalized world. It was here that, at age 16, she was introduced to the concept of MUN.
For her university education Maria returned to Leuven where she discovered KULMUN by accident. Two years and multiple conferences later, she joined the Executive Board as Vice President and Conference Manager. The ten months of preparation resulted not only in a successful KULMUN 2016 but also a profoundly formative experience and lasting friendships with her fellow Board members.
Though she has since moved away from Leuven to become a “Brusseleir“, her desire to remain actively involved led her to join the Governing Board. As Vice President of the Governing Board, she aspires to work constructively with her fellow members in shaping the future of KULMUN, to guide the Executive Board in their endeavors, and to ensure that the vibrant KULMUN community continues to thrive.
Maria’s other interests include languages and environmentalism. In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, reading various books at the same time, and exploring the different corners of Brussels.
