KULMUN 2019 Secretariat
Striving to recreate the international atmosphere encountered abroad and the desire to confront herself with other international relations, diplomacy-addicted individuals, she joined in 2015 MILMUN: her very own MUN Society, eventually serving as its President. Since then, she has eagerly participated as a delegate, Chair and Executive Committee member in numerous conferences at European level.
After striking two consecutive years at KULMUN, where she has left a piece of her heart and several lost hours of sleep, she can’t be more honoured and excited than coming back to Leuven as Secretary General for KULMUN’s 2019 edition. She will do her best to reach the extremely high academic quality and content richness achieved by her predecessors, and she can’t wait to welcome future participants to the family.
She is especially interested in conflict resolution, ethnicity and migration, with a particular interest in the Middle East and a growing interest in climate change and its effects on Pacific Island Nations. Both interests were bolstered by visits to Lebanon and Hawaii respectively.
After finishing her bachelor’s degree, she further had the opportunity to intern with UN Volunteers and gain an insight look at the work of the real United Nations. MUNs perfectly combine her interest in international relations with her passion for traveling and discovering new places she knows little about. As an avid consumer of stories of all kinds, she enjoys reading classic and modern literature, local folk tales and non-fiction accounts. She is looking forward to getting to know everyone at KULMUN 2019, hearing their stories and meeting old and new friends.
